David is an experienced civil litigator, representing clients in all aspects of their business and personal litigation, including business torts and contracts, construction defects and design, real estate (unlawful detainer and breach of lease/sales agreements), unfair competition and licensing disputes. David has been involved in all stages of civil litigation from inception through conclusion, including mediation, arbitration, complex settlements, trial and appeal. In addition to his litigation practice, David advises clients concerning their various commercial and personal dealings, including negotiating and drafting real estate, lease, license and transactional agreements.
Prior to joining Bewley, Lassleben & Miller, LLP, David spent several years as an in-house attorney for a fortune 35 company, Amerisource Bergen Corporation (formerly known as Bergen Brunswig Corporation) (the "Company"). In his capacity as Director of Legal Affairs and Counsel, David was responsible for managing all of the Company's litigation, including prosecuting and defending actions against both private and government entities. Such actions included employment and labor law matters, antitrust, bankruptcy, business torts and contracts, environmental, healthcare, regulatory, real estate and more. As a natural extension of his responsibilities, David also monitored and managed governmental investigations and responded to private and government-initiated subpoenas and queries.
In addition to his litigation-related responsibilities, David gained substantial experience negotiating and drafting corporate transactional documents, ranging from technology licensing agreements to transportation/delivery, confidentiality, construction, pharmaceutical distribution, consultant and employment engagement and severance agreements. David also assisted in the preparation and drafting of SEC quarterly and annual filings.
